Overview:
Agate Creek was discovered by European adventurers around 1888. This unique place was called Sinbad's Valley, and then later known as Valley of the Gems and also Mecca, as most rock hunters at some time make a trip or pilgrimage to see one of Nature's treasure troves.
In this area can be found not only the colourful agates, but a number of 'Thunder Egg' deposits. The Author and his wife have made numerous expeditions to the area, and over a 35 year period, his collection is now an outstanding display of stones he has cut and polished with skill and dedication over those years.
This full-colour book illustrates a spectacular sample of his brilliant collection, and gives invaluable information to those who also have an interest in one of Nature's wonderlands.
