Marilyn began working as a freelance writer and editor soon after graduation in 1971, and writes regularly for magazines and papers around the world. She has edited/desktop published numerous publications, worked as a book editor for a publishing house, and established the public relations department and corporate communications program of a major Brisbane hospital. In 1987 Marilyn established her own public relations and written communications business, Impact Promotions & Publications. She has lectured in communications and effective business writing for almost 20 years.
Lee Mylne was born in New Zealand and has spent most of her working life as a newspaper journalist. She has travelled widely, living and working in Australia, England, Canada and the Middle East. After 10 years on the road, she settled in Brisbane with her family in 1986 and worked for two years for Sun Newspapers before turning her talents to work as a freelance writer and publicist.
Combining her interest in history and people, researching and writing 'Living on the Line' has been an adventure during which she has discovered more about her adopted home state and the human stories behind it.
