BASE Jumping is the world’s most dangerous sport – not by a small margin, the margin is huge. Nothing else comes close.
With the introduction of wingsuits, fatalities increased exponentially, with 332 deaths and counting. It has been pure carnage. But this is not just a story about the world’s most dangerous sport.
On August 14, 2007, my brother, Stephen Anderton (Steve), was killed in a BASE jumping accident in Langrabbpiken, Norway.
Over the next ten years his life and death were the inspiration behind the raising of over $1million for children living in abject poverty.
INSPIRED is a story of adventure, extreme sports, loss, grief, and ultimately something beautiful being born out of the pain. My brother’s life is a gift that needs to be shared.
I am passionate about using our God-given abilities for God’s purpose, no matter what it is. Whether it’s surfing, climbing or BASE jumping.
