| Wings over Samoa$49.50 AUDCaptain Reginald Barnewall succeeded to the ancient Irish baronetcy Barnewall of Crickstown Castle in 1961 while serving as Chief Pilot and Operations Manager of Polynesian Airlines which he co-founded a few years previously with Eugene Paul and in close association with Brian Leamy - in this book they describe much of the Samoa before, during and immediately after Independence in January 1961.
Wings over Samoa is adapted from TradeWinds published as a CD in 2003 and is a companion volume to Fraser Island - the Orchid Beach Story, describing the building of an island tourist resort, another quite remarkable achievement of Sir Reginald Barnewall and his talented wife, Lady Maureen.
Wings over Samoa launched in Auckland, New Zealand, on 30 July 2008, and Apia, Samoa, 7 August 2008, is a first-hand account of an adventurous and successful period of the history of Samoa. Numerous black and white and colour photographs complement the detailed narrative in this handsome, hard-cover book which is printed on artpaper for best reproduction of the photographs.
